Often clashing with the CBI agents because of his semi-celebrity arrogance and reluctance to follow the rules, Jane somehow always manages to solve the crimes in the hour provided. Australian actor Simon Baker is best known for playing fake psychic Patrick Jane on CBS’s The Mentalist. I think I wrote a similar description for James Roday who plays a fake psychic on Psych. Regardless, the role has brought new fame to Baker, who also gained notoriety for his nude scenes in Sex and Death 101.
