Kevin Connolly, who plays Eric “E” Murphy, Vinnie Chase’s manager and best friend on HBO’s Entourage, had actually retired from acting when he was approached about the role. It wasn’t until he found out the role was written specifically with him in mind that he agreed to take on the part.
