These days he’s playing Officer Ben Sherman on the struggling Southland. The show was launched last year on NBC, dropped, and picked up by TNT. It will debut on TNT in January. A bit of trivia about Ben McKenzie: His real last name is Schenkkan, but, believe it or not, a Ben Schenkkan was already listed with the Screen Actors Guild, so he changed it to McKenzie.
